The  9th Volvo Russian Sailing Week was a full success again!

The event was organized for the first time in 2007 and in the meanwhile is one of the most popular fun regattas in Russia. 34 yachts and around 220 avid sailors participated this year.

This regatta ir organised by Phoenix Yachting and the Russian Yachting Centre Mowscow and since the beginning was sponsored by Volvo Cars Russia.
Also a big thank you to our other sponsors- GANT, SOFRINA Bank Moscow and Rasisson Cesme.

Starting point was the Netsel Marina in Marmaris. The following days lead us- in a distance of 150 nm- to Bozu Kale, Dirsek und Ekincik.
The regatta consisted of 5 races this year; 2 inshore triangles in Marmaris bay, 2 offshores and 1 night race.

The winners of the divisions and of the trophies and honorable prizes are:


White Division DUETT:

1st place: Gold Trophy- Roman Shakhmanov with the yacht White Pepper
2nd place: Silver Trophy- Andrey Shilenkov with the yacht Ricarda
3rd place: Bronze Trophy- Vadim Popolutov with the yacht Loreley

Gray Division JACOB:

1st place: Gold Trophy- Maxim Kuzmin with the yacht Sofrino
2nd place: Silver Trophy- Julia Abramova with the yacht Gant
3rd place: Bronze Trophy- Alexey Zhitkov with the yacht Themis

Green Division CARIOCA:
1st place: Gold Trophy- Sergey Golovanov with the yacht Lady Carol
2nd place: Silver Trophy- Alexey Sannikov with the yacht Countes
3rd place: Bronze Trophy- Vladimir Nevsky with the yacht Philotes

Yellow Open Division AMAZON:

1st place:  Gold Trophy- Yan Vilukha with the yacht Exon
2nd place: Silver Trophy- Stanislav Yasinovsky with the yacht Philoxene
3rd place: Bronze Trophy- Alexander Mikhailik with the yacht Nazli Deniz

Overall winner is Maxim Kuzmin with his yacht SOFRINO. His victory was celebrated with fireworks and beautiful confetti rain!
