Corona situation

Due to the current situation, we are faced with a large number of inquiries from concerned sailors and customers. We process your inquiries with high pressure in order to really find the best solution for all of our customers for the upcoming summer vacation and have already decided on measures to offer them security for their charter trip.

1. Rebooking options:

Phoenix Yachting customers can book a later charter appointment for travel restrictions (from warning level 4) due to the corona virus. The charter prices can be found in our price list or contact us now. .

2. Payments for your charter to a secured escrow account

Deposits for your charter can now be made via our secure escrow account. Phoenix Yachting only works together with well-known insurance companies, whereby EIS (European Insurance Service) will secure our charter in Turkey and Yacht-Pool the Croatian charter, as country-specific conditions must be taken into account. 2.1. How it works in Turkey with our partner EIS (European Insurance Service)

2.1.1. Why should charter customers make payments through EIS Insurance's Secure Account?

  • Securing the interests of the charter guest
  • Money will only be debited if charter is taking place
  • 00% certainty that payments made are not lost

2.1.2. Under what circumstances does the customer get his money back?

Payment rules

  1. The charter base and the charter customer instruct the paymaster (administrator of the trust account) to pay the deposited funds to the charter base, provided the charter base sends the paymaster a copy / scan of a handover protocol of the charter yacht signed by the charter customer within 14 days after the start of the charter;
  2. To pay the deposited funds to the charter customer, provided the charter customer can prove to the paymaster within 14 days from the start of the charter that entry into the country of the charter is not possible at the time of the charter - corresponding information from the Foreign Office is deemed to be binding evidence of the Austrian Federal Ministry (https://www.bmeia.gv.at/reise-sitzhalt/reiseinformation) - or the charter base is demonstrably insolvent and the agreed service was not offered to the charter customer for fulfillment;
  3. to pay out the deposited funds to the charter base 14 days after the start of the charter period, provided that no proof of the aforementioned points 1 and 2 has been sent to the paymaster.

2.1.3. What does this escrow account cost?

The paymaster (administrator of the escrow account) receives a fee of EUR 30.00 plus the statutory VAT for his service. He is entitled to deduct his fee from the payment of the stored funds. This fee will be charged to the charter customer. Please contact us for your individual offer.

2.2. How it works in Croatia with our partner Yacht-Pool

2.2.1. Why should charter customers make payments through Yacht-Pool´s Insurance's Secure Account?

  • Securing the interests of the charter guest
  • Money will only be debited if charter is taking place
  • 100% certainty that payments made are not lost

2.2.2. Under what circumstances does the customer get his money back?

Payment rules

  1. When the yacht is handed over to the base of the charter company, the charter customer signs an acceptance protocol. Upon sending the transfer protocol by scan / email to the law firm, the amount is transferred to the trust account (minus the 1% fee paid by the charter customer) to the charter company's account.
  2. If the charter company declares (via Yacht-Pool)to the law firm that the agreed service cannot be provided, the amount deposited - minus the 1% fee - will be reimbursed to the charter customer.
  3. The charter customer also receives in cases of force majeure that prevent the planned charter from being carried out (reasons that are not in the person of the charterer, such as discontinuation of flight connections, travel warnings, border closures, exit bans, etc.). In the case of border closures, written evidence must be provided on the website of the Auswertiger Office of the Austrian Federal Ministry.

2.2.3. What does this escrow account cost?

The cost is 1% of the paid charter price - this payment is made to the trust account managed by a law firm in cooperation with Yacht-Pool.
