History of Phoenix Yachting

After working in various positions in the marine industry since 1986, it was the time to build a yachting company that is more than “just a charter company”. PHOENIX YACHTING was founded in the spring of 2007. Many loyal employees who have accompanied me for several years and were enthusiastic about this idea, made the decision easy for me.

The areas of charter, sailing event, training, service and boat sales are among the most complex services of water sports. Our goal was to bring all these components together under one brand. The success is based on the 30 years of experience and the enthusiasm of my partners and employees. The professionalism is based on passion and lived sailing, which enables the unique corporate culture. The pleasure in dealing with sailing enthusiasts is always felt and far from the normal rental of boats.

Visions are always explored for their feasibility and carefully implemented accordingly. The Turkish and Croatian bases are kept in their size and location so that family atmosphere and best technical support is always given. The trip planning is individually designed so that One Way’s always start and end in a phoenix base. This results in many design options – from sporting miles sailing to a leisurely family cruise. The visionary approach is reflected in the selection and detailed equipment of our yachts. More than 80% of the fleet has batten size, and every yacht has a spinnaker or gennaker in the right dimensions. More and more boats have bow thrusters, air conditioning, generator, electric winches and much more. Since 2012, all ships are equipped with on-board Wi-Fi.

Finally, I would like to point out our sailing events. In 2005, my wife and I started specializing in water sports events on the Turkish coast. Over the years we have organized more than 100 fun regattas, corporate events and international regattas in Sardinia, Corsica, Tuscany, Majorca, Thailand and the Caribbean. Together with Judith Höfler, head of the Vienna office, I have completed the training as ISAF competition director and referee and can say with complete conviction that we are leading in this sector sailing events in the Mediterranean. We always strive to develop and improve. We are very dependent on your feedback. Please inform us about your wishes and complaints, so that you give us the opportunity to continue to be leaders in the marine industry. Since September 2019, my son Armin has taken over the helm at Phoenix and is managing director of the company. Of course, I’m still on the board of Phoenix and stand with advice and support to the side. With friendly sailor greetings, Berni Blaha, Founder
